Before staining, it’s crucial to prepare the wood properly. Sanding the surface to a smooth finish ensures even stain absorption and a flawless look. After staining, the wood must be allowed to dry completely before applying the varnish. Applying multiple coats of varnish, with sanding in between, helps achieve a smooth and durable finish.
